Job summary

Advance Training & Recruitment Services is seeking an Environmental Manager to support major UK infrastructure projects. You will bridge environmental assessment with delivery, advising engineers, designers and project teams to embed environmental considerations from early design through construction.

The role requires practical knowledge of UK environmental legislation, risk management and stakeholder engagement, with a collaborative, proactive approach to help ensure safe, sustainable project

Qualifications

• Experience delivering environmental support on infrastructure or construction projects.
• Strong understanding of UK environmental legislation and regulatory requirements.
• Experience managing environmental risks, compliance or mitigation measures.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Proactive, solutions-focused approach with ability to challenge and influence where required.

Responsibilities

• Provide environmental advice across infrastructure projects from design to completion.
• Embed environmental considerations into decision making with engineering and project teams.
• Identify environmental risks and develop practical mitigation measures.
• Coordinate input from environmental specialists to align with project requirements.
• Support compliance with environmental legislation, permits, planning conditions and client commitments.
• Assist project teams in balancing environmental priorities with cost, schedule and constructability.
• Support environmental management processes, monitoring and reporting requirements.
• Build relationships with clients, contractors, regulators and internal stakeholders.
