Wyre Borough Council is seeking an Environmental Health Officer to enforce environmental health protections and resolve nuisances across its borough. You will lead investigations, assess permitting applications, and assist in planning and licensing submissions.

You will draft notices, prepare legal case files, and act as a trusted advisor to the public and businesses, with support from a collaborative team.

Formación

• Diploma or Degree in Environmental Health.
• EHORB registration or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of Environmental Protection legislation.
• Ability to write clear reports and work independently.
• Full UK driving licence required.

Responsabilidades

• Lead frontline investigations on noise, drainage, contaminated land, and statutory nuisance.
• Process Environmental Permitting applications and provide planning/licensing input.
• Draft and serve formal notices; prepare case files for legal action.
• Advise public and businesses on legislation; liaise with external agencies.
• Contribute to corporate projects within the Environmental Protection & Community Safety Team.
