A local government authority in Cannock is seeking an experienced Environmental Health Officer to join their Environmental Protection Team. This role involves monitoring compliance, conducting investigations, and providing technical guidance on environmental health matters. Candidates must hold a relevant degree and EHRB Registration for the EHO role. The position offers a salary ranging from £37,280 to £40,777 per annum, alongside comprehensive benefits including a generous holiday allowance and pension scheme.

Are you a highly motivated individual with knowledge and experience in Environmental Protection? Do you have a passion for improving the local environment?
If so, we have a fantastic opportunity to join our Environmental Protection Team, where you can use your skills to make a real difference. We regulate processes, monitor compliance, investigate incidents, and enforce the law whilst embracing novel approaches and solutions. You will be a key member of our team, providing technical support, advice and guidance on air quality monitoring and management, responses to contaminated land issues, regulation of Part A(2) and B activities and review of planning applications.
You will be given every opportunity to take on responsibility, developing projects and making full use of your technical knowledge. There will be opportunities for you to get involved with envirocrime, public health and animal welfare functions, which also fall within the team’s remit.
