A leading recruitment firm is seeking an Environmental Health and Safety Specialist for a contract role at a prominent site in Scotland. The successful candidate will provide EHS support to management and employees, ensuring adherence to regional regulations while achieving high EHS standards. Required qualifications include a minimum of a level 3 qualification in Health and Safety or Environmental management. This position involves evaluating workplace hazards, conducting training, and preparing compliance reports. Interested candidates should contact for further details.
Morson Talent are currently recruiting for an Environmental Health and Safety Specialist to work on the behalf of one of our prestigious clients based in Glasgow Prestwick Airport. This is a contract role for 12 months.
This position will further complement the existing EHS team with consideration of the growth of our client's activities in the UK. The purpose of the role will be to provide practical support to management and employees to enable us to achieve a high standard of EHS performance at the AIC Prestwick site and provide support for other locations within the region as required.
The AIC will be a fully integrated client badged facility from day one of acquisition closure. AIC currently employs 51 staff all located on site in Prestwick, approximately half the employees work within the office areas with the remaining working within the operational and/or warehouse space. Tasks within these areas include, but are not limited to machine operation, R & D, Lab activity, goods inwards/outwards, crane and FLT operation’s. There are some risk assessments in place for the facility, although most of these are generic Spirit documents, management of chemicals is limited and training documentation is minimal. While there appears to be no immediate workplace safety risk, compliance risk is believed to be high in relation to local legislation and ongoing compliance to our clients processes.
While the current scope of work does not indicate a full time EHS employee requirement, compliance with UK regulation and integration with our clients standards requires 6-12 months on site dedicated support. The EUKI EHS operating model does not have capacity to support this requirement, going forward if the AIC scope remains as is the EUKI EHS team will be able to maintain remote oversight and support for the facility.
An initial high level gap analysis has been conducted, identifying immediate requirements, these include but are not limited to the following:
