Job summary

The Tees Rivers Trust is seeking an enthusiastic and creative Environmental Education Officer to develop and deliver engaging environmental learning opportunities across the Tees Catchment. The role is supported by the National Lottery Heritage Fund and is part of the TISP project.

Responsibilities include delivering outdoor learning, creating resources, and building relationships with schools and communities. A DBS check and a full driving licence are required.

Qualifications

• Experience in education, community engagement or a similar setting.
• Experience developing relationships with schools, community groups or other organisations.
• Strong communication, organisational and presentation skills.
• Experience of outdoor learning or environmental education is highly desirable.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Full driving licence and access to a vehicle for business use.
• DBS check required.

Supported by the National Lottery Heritage Fund, TISP is a five-year, catchment-scale project tackling invasive non-native species while inspiring communities to understand, value and protect their local rivers and landscapes.
