Qualifications

The Position

Environmental & Sustainability Manager

At Roche Diagnostics you’ll lead the charge in shaping our environmental and sustainability agenda across the UK and Ireland. You’ll play a pivotal role in embedding our global ESG commitments into everyday operations ensuring compliance with regulations and inspiring cultural change. What You’ll Do
  • Develop and deliver sustainability strategies that align with Roche’s global standards ISO 14001 and the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental laws and reporting frameworks (ISO 14001, CDP, GRI, REACH, WEEE).
  • Lead initiatives to measure, analyse and reduce carbon emissions, energy, water, waste and resource use.
  • Partner with teams, suppliers and industry networks to drive sustainable practices and share expertise.
  • Design and deliver training to build awareness and capability across the organisation.
  • Support sustainable product and process innovation from procurement choices to circular economy initiatives.
  • Establish and track KPIs ensuring transparent reporting and continuous improvement.
What You Bring
  • A degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability or a related field.
  • 5 years experience in environmental management or sustainability (healthcare, pharma or diagnostics desirable).
  • Strong knowledge of UK/Ireland and international environmental regulations and reporting frameworks.
  • Proven ability to manage projects, engage stakeholders and influence at all levels.
  • Analytical skills to translate complex data into actionable insights.
  • A collaborative mindset, adaptability and passion for sustainability.
