Job summary

Galliford Try is seeking an Environmental Advisor to support the Framework HS&E Manager across environmental aspects of the framework and ensure delivery to exemplary environmental standards.

You will coordinate environmental management systems, provide guidance to operational teams from planning through to delivery, conduct inspections and audits, and drive continual improvement using KPIs and M2i incident investigations. A pro-active, collaborative approach is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in an environmental role within construction, infrastructure or regulated industries.
• Knowledge of environmental management systems, legislation and risk management.
• Experience across the project lifecycle from planning to construction.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills to engage stakeholders.
• NEBOSH Construction or General Certificate in progress or obtained.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across projects.

Responsibilities

• Support the implementation of the HS&E strategy and promote a positive environmental culture.
• Implement and maintain Environmental Management System in line with requirements.
• Provide environmental advice and support to operational teams from planning through to completion.
• Carry out environmental inspections, audits and ISO 14001 assessments.
• Utilise environmental KPIs to drive continual improvement.
• Support environmental incident investigations using the M2i system.
• Engage with internal teams, clients, supply chain partners, regulators and industry bodies.
• Prepare and deliver environmental training and awareness sessions.
