Job summary

Navartis Ltd. is seeking an Environmental Advisor for a major UK electricity transmission project. The role is fully site-based, positioned on-site in the northeast, with a focus on civils/construction environments and a willingness to travel along the project route.

The position is based in Seaham with ad-hoc England-site support as needed. The role involves reviewing environmental documentation, maintaining RAMS and planning, and ensuring CEMP alignment with CEPR requirements.

Qualifications

• Degree in Environmental Science, Ecology, Environmental Management, or related field.
• Knowledge of UK environmental legislation, permitting, and best practice standards.
• Experience engaging with regulators (EA, SEPA, NE, NatureScot, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Review environmental documentation and prepare site-specific records (RAMS, mitigation plans, Pollution Prevention Plans, Site Waste Management Plans).
• Ensure CEMP is implemented and aligned with CEPR requirements.
• Maintain records to demonstrate legal and contractual compliance (permits, licences, consents, exemptions).
• Provide six-week lookahead environmental planning to Environment Manager.

We are currently recruiting for an Environmental Advisor on a major UK electricity transmission project. This is for a fully site-based Environment advisor, based on site in the northeast. Ideally looking for someone who has got on site civils/construction experience and is happy to be situated on site in the hustle and bustle of it all.

Further details of the Environmental Advisor role:

• Northeast based on site
• 5 days per week
• £400-£500 per day DOE

Key responsibilities for this Environmental advisor role:

• Review environmental documentation and prepare site-specific environmental records (RAMS, mitigation plans, Pollution Prevention Plans, Site Waste Management Plans, etc.).
• Ensure the Construction Environmental Management Plan (CEMP) is implemented, updated, and aligned with CEPR requirements.
• Maintain records to demonstrate legal and contractual compliance, including permits, licences, consents, and exemptions.
• Provide six-week lookahead environmental planning to the Environment Manager.

Experience required for this HSE Advisor role:

• Degree in Environmental Science, Ecology, Environmental Management, or related field.
• Strong knowledge of UK environmental legislation, permitting, and best practice standards (e.g. CIRIA, BS 5228, ISO 14001).
• Experience engaging with regulators (EA, SEPA, NE, NatureScot, etc.).
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel along project route. Support to England site in Seaham may also be required on an ad-hoc basis.
