Environmental Advisor - Construction Sector

Location: Luton (office and site mix)

Salary: Up to £70,000 + car

We're working with a construction business that's looking to strengthen its Environmental & Sustainability capabilities with an experienced Environmental Advisor. This role will see you supporting a range of construction projects, ensuring all environmental responsibilities are not just met, but delivered to a high standard.

Key responsibilities
  • Provide site-based environmental support across live construction projects
  • Ensure compliance with relevant consents, permits, and environmental regulations
  • Lead on the preparation of quarterly environmental reports and site monitoring plans
  • Review site activities and ensure alignment with environmental and sustainability objectives
  • Work closely with delivery teams to embed environmental best practices across temporary works, materials management, and waste controls
  • Liaise with regulators, stakeholders, and consultants to maintain consistent, high-quality compliance
What we're looking for
  • Background in environmental roles within construction, infrastructure, or civil engineering projects
  • Experience preparing environmental reports and contributing to planning or permitting processes
  • Qualifications in Environmental Science, Environmental Management, or a related field
  • Professional membership or working towards (e.g. IEMA, CEnv) is desirable
