Shirley Parsons is supporting an international manufacturer in Northampton recruiting an EHS Manager to lead site-wide health and safety initiatives and drive continuous improvement.

The role focuses on compliance, risk management and embedding a proactive safety culture across production teams, contractors and leadership, with responsibility for reporting, audits and capital projects.

Qualifications

• NEBOSH General Certificate is required (or equivalent).
• Experience in manufacturing, food & beverage, FMCG or regulated industrial environments.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and ability to influence at all levels.
• Proactive, resilient approach with ability to work independently.

Responsabilités

We're supporting a leading international manufacturer with the appointment of an EHS Manager for its Northampton site. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a business with a strong safety culture, significant operational scale and a reputation for investing in both its people and facilities.

The EHS Manager will be responsible for:

• Driving legal compliance, risk management and EHS performance across the Northampton production site, ensuring compliance with corporate standards and statutory requirements.
• Influencing, coaching and supporting managers, supervisors and frontline teams to embed a proactive and positive safety culture.
• Leading EHS programmes including contractor management, machinery safety, behavioural safety, incident investigation, audits, inspections and reporting processes.
• Supporting capital investment projects and continuous improvement initiatives, whilst acting as the site's primary point of contact for EHS matters.

The EHS Manager will have:

• Health & Safety experience gained within a manufacturing, food & beverage, FMCG or similarly regulated industrial environment.
• A NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent) as a minimum.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills, with the ability to communicate effectively from shop-floor to senior leadership level.
• A proactive and resilient approach, with the confidence to challenge where required and the ability to operate independently whilst driving positive change.
