Job summary

Fawkes & Reece are supporting a Tier 1 Contractor in the search for an experienced Health, Safety & Environmental Manager to join the project team. The role covers sites in Bristol, Wiltshire & Somerset, overseeing safety across multiple sectors and driving continual HSE improvements.

The successful candidate will ensure legal compliance, support planning and delivery teams on high-risk activities, and lead safety inspections, audits and incident investigations while promoting a strong HSE

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar role on high-value schemes would be advantageous.
• Knowledge of ISO 45001/ISO 14001 and ISO 9001.

Fawkes & Reece are currently supporting an industry leading Tier 1 Contractor with their search for an experienced Health, Safety & Environmental Manager to join their project team based in the Southwest. This Health, Safety & Environmental Manager will work across a variety of sectors, typically on projects valuing between £10M - £100M across Bristol, Wiltshire & Somerset.

About the role of Health. Safety & Environmental Manager

As Health, Safety & Environmental Manager you will be responsible for overseeing the safety of project teams across the site, promoting best practice and driving H&S legislation throughout whilst pushing for continuous improvement surrounding HSE.

Responsibilities for the Health, Safety & Environmental Manager

• Responsible for ensuring compliance with legal standards, Client expectations company standards.
• Support the planning & delivery team with high-risk activities.
• Regularly carry out safety inspections & audits
• Appropriately support and advise any incidents, accidents or near misses
• Proactively promote and engage the team with HSE awareness & behavioural improvement

Requirements for Health, Safety & Environmental Manager

• Previous experience in a similar role working on similar value schemes would be advantages, for this opportunity we would consider a HSE Advisor looking to step up.
