Reports to: Deployment Lead

Location: Leeds, LS10 (on-site)

Hours: Monday to Friday 9:00am to 5:30pm, 37.5 hours per week

Focus of the role

As a deployment engineer you will be responsible for the commissioning of end user devices in accordance with customer requirements and ensuring that they are compliant with the customers security policies.

The successful candidate will work alongside our Support and Projects team to utilise our Windows Deployment Server & RMM tools to automate and improve the efficiency of device builds. You will learn and work alongside over 80 experienced support engineers, gain hands‑on exposure to traditional and cloud technologies such as virtualisation, Azure, Intune, WVD and networking, and have the opportunity to grow with complimentary learning delivered through partners, self‑study, and colleague‑led training sessions – all tracked through your own personal development plan.

Responsibilities
  • Work alongside our builds team to deliver high‑quality devices to our customers
  • Utilise scripting and RMM tools to further automate and improve the PC Build process.
  • Assist maintaining and organising client equipment brought into our stock room.
  • Work with our ticketing system to track PC build time and ensure customers are updated on progress
  • Work from a default build checklist as well as any custom client checklists
  • Report directly to the Lead Builds Engineer, providing daily build ticket updates, and summary for all tickets completed and machines deployed at the end of the week

  • Understanding of PC building and the Windows Operating System
  • Excellent communication (oral and written), organisational, and time‑management skills
  • Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot software and hardware faults
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Products
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently to meet deadlines
  • Ability to assess and prioritise work in a fast‑paced environment
  • Must be neat, organised, energetic, and show initiative
