Are you a detail-oriented professional with a passion for risk analysis in complex project environments? A ground‑breaking clean energy programme is seeking an Enterprise Risk Strategy Analyst to join its central Programme Management Office (PMO). This is a rare opportunity to be part of a major UK initiative focused on demonstrating the commercial feasibility of nuclear fusion energy – one of the most exciting frontiers in the energy sector.

As an Enterprise Risk Strategy Analyst, you’ll support the development and implementation of risk management practices across a vast and technically complex portfolio. You’ll play a key role in providing data‑driven insights that improve decision‑making and help steer the programme to successful delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Risk & Dependencies Manager in delivery of risk across the organisation to ensure proper identification and escalation of key risks to enable effective decisions to be made.
  • Support with the implementation of enterprise risk management frameworks, tools, and processes across the organisation.
  • Facilitate risk workshops and support project teams in developing comprehensive risk registers.
  • Support in the programme of risk & assumption reviews with key stakeholders on a periodic basis and elevate risk queries to the Risk Manager.
  • Support the Risk Team with monthly reporting streams which may include many varied tasks like presenting data, taking minutes, gathering & interpreting data on a strategic level.
  • Support Risk & Dependencies Manager in QRA Modelling (contact details removed).
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Challenge PMs and teams on risk and advise on improvements where necessary.
  • Monitor the risk management process including seeking timely updates from Strategic, Tranche and Project risk register owners as part of the many reporting streams.
  • Monitor risk trends and elevate emerging risks, issues or risks out of tolerance as appropriate.
  • Assist in roll‑out of chosen risk management tool, undertaking admin role and training staff.
What We’re Looking For
  • Experience working and supporting large‑scale infrastructure, engineering, or regulated programmes with exposure to risk or project controls.
  • Solid understanding of risk management processes and qualitative/quantitative analysis techniques.
  • Familiarity with risk management tools (e.g., Active Risk Manager (ARM), Predict!, or similar platforms).
  • Strong attention to detail, with a methodical and analytical approach.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other common business tools.
  • Awareness of structured risk frameworks (e.g., ISO 31000, APM Risk).
  • Experience preparing risk dashboards and data visualisations for senior stakeholders.
  • Relevant qualification or certification in risk analysis, risk management, or project controls.
