Overview
This is a remote role, however we require the successful candidate to live within a commutable distance of London to attend in-person meetings and collaboration sessions. You'll play a critical role in ensuring the effective implementation of our risk management framework across Group functions - including Finance, People, and Legal. Working closely with senior leaders, you'll manage risks within appetite, strengthen controls, and support continuous improvement in enterprise risk practices.
Responsibilities
- Building and maintaining strong working relationships with senior leaders across Group functions.
 - Partnering with these teams to identify, assess, and manage operational and strategic risks.
 - Supporting and coordinating the delivery of risk framework components through proactive business partnering.
 - Facilitating the review and update of risk appetite statements and ensuring regular reporting against key metrics.
 - Managing the maintenance and review of Group policies to ensure comprehensive risk coverage.
 - Leading Risk and Control Self-Assessments (RCSAs) to ensure an accurate understanding of the risk landscape.
 - Developing effective processes for capturing and reporting risk events, analysing root causes, and identifying trends.
 - Tracking issues and actions, ensuring timely resolution and accountability across functions.
 - Producing regular risk reports to support ongoing leadership engagement and decision-making.
 - Providing expert risk management support for functional initiatives and transformation projects.
 - Identifying and managing emerging and horizon risks that could impact Group operations.
 - Coaching and mentoring first-line colleagues to build strong risk awareness and management capability.
 
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years' experience in risk management, covering identification, assessment, mitigation, and reporting.
 - A professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
 - Strong background in managing risks within corporate functions such as Finance, HR, or Legal.
 - Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
 - Proven ability to coach and influence senior stakeholders to embed risk management practices.
 - Strategic thinker with attention to detail and a proactive, solutions-focused approach.
