Job summary

iOPEX Technologies is seeking an experienced Technology Cost Optimisation consultant to lead cost transformation initiatives for large enterprise clients. The role focuses on reducing enterprise software expenditure through rationalisation, licence optimisation, supplier consolidation and renegotiation.

You will work closely with CIOs and IT leadership to quantify savings, build business cases and drive implementation, bringing hands-on experience and a proven track record of delivering

Qualifications

• 10–15+ years of experience in technology consulting and IT cost transformation.
• Proven end-to-end cost reduction programmes from identification through realization.
• Demonstrable savings from consolidating or optimising software products.
• Strong understanding of enterprise software licensing and procurement economics.
• Ability to translate findings into commercially actionable recommendations.
• Experience in large, complex enterprise environments.
• Strong consulting, analytical and executive presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Technology Cost Assessment: Assess enterprise software expenditure to identify cost-reduction opportunities.
• Software Portfolio Rationalisation: Identify overlapping software and recommend consolidation or retirement.
• Cost Optimisation Execution: Develop and execute licence right-sizing, SaaS subscription optimisation, supplier consolidation and renegotiation.
• Business Case & Value Realisation: Quantify savings, develop business cases and track reductions against baselines.
• Enterprise Software Expertise: Evaluate opportunities across major ecosystems such as Microsoft, Oracle, SAP, Salesforce, ServiceNow, VMware.
• Client Advisory & Stakeholder Engagement: Engage CIOs and IT leadership to present recommendations and drive implementation.
• Consulting & Solution Development: Support workshops, opportunity assessments and develop detailed optimisation recommendations.
