Job description

The role of Enterprise Architecture (EA) Administration Manager is to primarily support the DVSA Architecture function in line with the wider Digital, Data, Technology and Security (DDTS) support arrangements. The role purpose is to ensure that architecture decisions are appropriately governed; that architecture resourcing is deployed in the optimum way to support the delivery of DVSA's projects, programme, change portfolio and BAU activities; and to support the Architecture team with reporting and governance requirements. Working as part of a wider team ensures resilience and the ability to support each other as workloads flex.

In this role you will work to the Enterprise Architecture Project Team and future DVSA core team to support the onboarding of new Architects. This is a critical role in the context of building sustainable new architecture service within the DVSA and embedding this in the future. This role will also work collaboratively with the Digital administrative team.

Joining our department comes with many benefits, including:

  • Employer pension contribution of 28.97% of your salary. Read more about Civil Service Pensions here
  • 25 days annual leave, increasing by 1 day each year of service (up to a maximum of 30 days annual leave), plus 8 bank holidays a privilege day for the King’s birthday
  • Flexible working options where we encourage a great work-life balance.

  • Support a growing team that ensures architecture decisions are governed effectively, resources are optimally deployed, and the Architecture community is connected and supported.
  • Lead the coordination and administration of EA activities — including governance, reporting, resourcing, and onboarding — to create consistency and structure across the function.
  • Shape and embed new processes that strengthen how architecture delivery operates within DVSA’s digital and data landscape.
  • Bring strong organisational and people skills, drawing on experience in project management, PMO, or executive support to create order, clarity, and momentum in a newly forming function.
