Job Description

The Principal Enterprise Architect provides strategic architectural leadership across the organisation, defining and maintaining target and transition architectures that align with long-term business objectives. This role shapes technology direction, strengthens governance, and ensures that architecture decisions drive measurable business outcomes.


Key Responsibilities


  • Define and maintain enterprise-wide target and transition architectures, ensuring alignment with strategic goals, frameworks, and standards.

  • Develop and manage architecture roadmaps, principles, and governance processes to support consistent decision‑making.

  • Collaborate with senior stakeholders to identify opportunities for improvement, efficiency, and innovation.

  • Evaluate emerging technologies and industry trends, assessing their potential impact on organisational strategy.

  • Lead and mentor architects and technical teams, fostering capability growth and alignment with architectural best practice.

  • Drive architectural governance, risk management, and assurance to enable high‑quality, transparent decision‑making.

  • Ability to anticipate strategic and policy changes, assess business impacts, and design resilient architectures accordingly.

  • Experience working across organisational boundaries to shape structures, processes, and technologies that enable strategic objectives.
