Job summary

Advanced Resource Managers in Reading, United Kingdom, seeks an experienced Enterprise Architect to shape enterprise-wide architecture, governance, and long-term IT strategy. This role spans application, data and infrastructure domains, driving cloud migration, AI strategy and large-scale digital transformation across programmes.

You will engage with business and technical stakeholders, define non-functional requirements, and establish architecture standards using TOGAF and related frameworks;

Job description

We're looking for an experienced Enterprise Architect to join a major Defence & Aerospace programme. This role will support enterprise-wide architecture planning and governance, ensuring technology decisions align with business objectives and long-term IT strategy.

Working across multiple technology domains, you'll help shape future-state architecture, drive cloud and AI initiatives, and contribute to large-scale digital transformation programmes.

Key Responsibilities

• Contribute to enterprise and solution architecture aligned with IT strategy.
• Define system integration approaches and support enterprise data modelling initiatives.
• Help develop enterprise technology roadmaps and next-generation platform strategies.
• Support cloud adoption, AI, and Generative AI initiatives.
• Establish architecture standards, governance processes, and technology selection principles.
• Define non-functional requirements, including security, scalability, resilience, and availability.
• Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to deliver future-state architecture across multiple programmes.

Skills & Experience

• Experience in Enterprise Architecture.
• Experience across application, data, and infrastructure architecture.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Experience with TOGAF architecture principles and governance.
• The ability to engage with both business and technical stakeholders and influence architectural decisions.

Experience with Enterprise Architecture frameworks, cloud migration, AI strategy, enterprise data platforms, or IT strategy is highly desirable. TOGAF, Microsoft Azure Architect, or PMP certifications would also be advantageous.
