Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced Enterprise Architect to help shape and develop complex, business-critical solutions within a high-assurance environment. In this role, you will provide architectural leadership across a multi-disciplinary programme, translating evolving requirements into a coherent, end-to-end solution that aligns people, processes, technology, and operational delivery. You will work closely with senior stakeholders and subject matter experts to ensure all elements of the solution integrate effectively and support strategic objective.

Key Responsibilities

You will lead the development and maintenance of enterprise architecture artefacts, ensuring complex requirements, assumptions, dependencies, and design decisions are translated into a clear and deliverable solution architecture. Working across multiple functions, you will align operational, technical, digital, commercial, and supply chain elements to create a cohesive operating model and delivery framework. You will identify and resolve gaps, overlaps, and dependencies across the developing solution, establish architecture principles and standards, and support the assessment of key design decisions. The role also involves producing architecture models, diagrams, and governance artefacts, while providing challenge and assurance that proposed solutions are practical, scalable, and achievable.

What We Need

Significant experience in Enterprise Architecture, Business Architecture, Solution Architecture, or Target Operating Model development. Experience designing and delivering complex, end-to-end solutions across multiple functions and organisations. Ability to translate strategic objectives and evolving requirements into practical architecture solutions. Strong understanding of operating models, business processes, information flows, governance, interfaces, and organisational design. Experience identifying and managing dependencies, risks, assumptions, and design conflicts within complex programmes. Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills, including working with senior leaders and specialist SMEs. Experience producing architecture models, diagrams, frameworks, and supporting documentation. Experience operating within regulated, safety-critical, or high-assurance environments.

Qualifications

Professional experience within a relevant discipline. Enterprise Architecture certification such as TOGAF, BCS Enterprise and Solution Architecture, or equivalent is desirable. MODAF experience is advantageous.

Security Requirements

Applicants must be eligible to obtain the relevant security clearance for this role, which requires UK nationality and a demonstrable five-year footprint of living and working within the UK.

Location

The role is Hybrid where 3 days per week will be spent in the office in Leatherhead. Please note that our main UK premises will be relocating from Leatherhead in Q4.
