A leading global cabling solutions provider is seeking an Area Manager in Stourport-on-Severn to drive growth and oversee project execution in Northern Ireland. The role involves managing a team and building customer relationships to enhance market presence. We’re looking for an Area Manager to join our team covering Northern Ireland. As an Area Manager you will take ownership of identifying opportunities to drive growth within the North region, ensure successful project execution and include direct line management of 8 ENS team members across the region in both Blue-Collar and White-Collar roles.
Deliver a reactive maintenance service in the North region to meet the markets needs
Develop and increase Prysmian’s presence in the region by building strong relationships with local customers and engineers
Champion Continuous Improvement initiatives to achieve Key Performance Indicators.
Lead, manage and direct a team of engineers and operatives in line with the requirements of the wider business objectives. This will include :
Identification of training needs and assisting with training and development planning
General administration duties such as ensuring time sheets and expense claims are completed accurately and in a timely fashion
Communication in the form of weekly planning allocation; team briefs; SHEQ briefs and Company briefs and bulletins
Ideally hold a degree in an Engineering / Technical discipline, however not essential.
Proven experience and leadership within a similar position, preferable experience in the High Voltage cable industry, however not essential.
Demonstrated expertise in people management, as well as training and development.
Hold great organizational, planning and prioritization skills
Excellent problem-solving skills.
Good interpersonal skills, communication, and presentation capability.
Highly self-motivated, with a keen, hands‑on approach.
