This fixed-term part-time position requires a minimum of 2 years of acute care experience and effective communication skills. Salary ranges from $73,109 to $80,524 per annum pro rata, plus allowances and benefits like professional development. The LGH Transit Loungeis a unit within the Patient Access and Flow department. Operating in a fast‑paced environment, it manages a high volume of patients between 08:30 and 18:00, Monday to Friday. The lounge supports patients who are awaiting discharge, transfer, or admission to an available bed.

The Enrolled Nurse plays a vital role in delivering holistic patient care and fostering a safe, supportive environment.
They provide evidence‑based care aligned with the nursing care plan, under the guidance and supervision of a Registered Nurse. Enrolled Nurses actively contribute to the planning and evaluation of patient care and health information in collaboration with the Registered Nurse.
They participate in multidisciplinary team discussions to support the achievement of desired patient outcomes and operate under the direction of the Nurse Unit Manager.
At all times, Enrolled Nurses are expected to adhere to relevant policies and protocols, including those related to mandatory education, training, and competency assessments.

The Department of Health Tasmania oversees various hospitals across the state, including the Royal Hobart Hospital, Launceston General Hospital, Northwest Regional Hospital, and Mersey Community Hospital, as well as district hospitals and ambulance services. Additionally, it provides community health, mental health, and primary healthcare services to the Tasmanian community through more than 300 sites.

Fixed term part time, day worker position, working 64 hours per fortnight, commencing 16 February 2026 until 3 April 2026.
*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.

Salary: $73,109 to $80,524 per annum pro rata. Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
