Job summary

A regional healthcare provider in England is seeking a motivated Advanced Practitioner to join their hydrocephalus team, covering maternity leave for one year. You will work in both inpatient and outpatient settings, performing clinical duties and conducting patient reviews. About the Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic, enthusiastic and motivated Advanced Practitioner to join the hydrocephalus team. This is a 0.8 FTE maternity leave cover over a period of one year, flexibly working Monday to Friday.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work closely within an established hydrocephalus service specialising in Normal Pressure Hydrocephalus and other CSF disorders.
  • Provide clinical duties in inpatient and outpatient settings at Southmead Hospital, including daily patient reviews.
  • Conduct physical examinations, request and analyse diagnostic tests, perform patient investigations, and make appropriate referrals.
  • Take clear histories from patients via the hydrocephalus advice line and offer safe, appropriate guidance.
  • Communicate with external services such as primary care and other specialist clinicians to optimise patient care.
