A healthcare organization in the UK is seeking candidates to join their Enhanced Care Team at Warwick Hospital. The role involves delivering activities to engage patients meaningfully and requires experience with mental health and a passion for various activities. Successful applicants will have strong organizational skills, enthusiasm, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our brand-new Enhanced Care Team at Warwick Hospital.
The post holders will deliver activities independently and maintain resources for other members of the team to engage the patients in meaningful activity, when they are not on the ward.
We welcome applications from individuals who have range of interests in doing, particularly those who have a passion or skill in one or more activities: Exercise, music and creative activities. The post holder will work as part of the multi‑disciplinary team to provide a meaningful and therapeutic day for the patient group. They will do this through providing physically and mentally creative, stimulating and reminiscence activities. Support and practical assistance will be provided by the post holder without the direct supervision of registered staff.
These activities will take place on acute and elective inpatient ward settings and can include situations requiring exposure to bodily fluids and behaviours that challenge.
Experience of working with or supporting people who have experience of mental ill health, Autism, Learning Disability or trauma is beneficial. Ability to demonstrate a kind approach, enthusiasm for the role, resilience, physical fitness and basic IT skills are essential.
The successful candidates will have genuine skills and interest in doing a variety of different activities, motivating people, and will have lots of initiative, good organisational skills and be able to work alone and as part of a team.
