Job summary

Prospero Teaching is seeking an English tutor to support a Year 10 student in Sale, with a focus on dyslexia. The role is a part-time contract (4 hours per week) with morning slots preferred. QTS or equivalent tutoring experience is required to join our children's education team.

The tutor will deliver 2 x 2-hour sessions weekly, create learning plans, and provide progress reports. Right to work in the UK and Enhanced DBS (Update Service) are required to commence the role.

Qualifications

• QTS or equivalent tutoring experience.
• Experience working in a SEN setting preferred.
• Right to work in the UK; Enhanced DBS on Update Service.

Responsibilities

• Deliver 2 x 2-hour sessions per week for a Year 10 pupil in Sale.
• Create and deliver personalised learning plans on a 1:1 basis.
• Submit weekly progress reports to Prospero Teaching.

We are a Teaching Agency, that strives to make a positive impact in young peoples lives by supporting their development and education. Our Childrens Education Team work with local authorities throughout the Greater Manchester to support vulnerable pupils currently outside of mainstream education.

We are looking for a English specialist with exprience supporting dyslexia to support a year 10 student in Sale.

Contract/Position Details:

• Location - M33
• Position - SEND English tutor
• Type of work - Contract
• Start date - ASAP
• Duration - ongoing support (possible two year)
• Part-time- 4 hours per week (female tutor preferred)
• Minimum rate of pay - GBP25/h
• Hours - Morning preferred but can be discussed with parents

Student has high aims for her GCSE and we are looking for a English specialist with experience on supporting dyslexia to support her in achieving these goals. 2 x 2- hour sessions . QTS is essential. Student is in year 10 and is looking for a tutor who can support her through to get GCSE.

Requirements:

• Right to work in the UK
• Enhanced DBS on Update Service
• Overseas Police Check (if applicable)
• 2 years of professional references
• QTS or equivalent Tutoring experience.
• Experience working within a SEN setting (preferred, but not required)

Further Information:

The successful tutor will need to be patient, empathetic and be able to create/deliver learning plans on a 1:1 basis. A therapeutic approach may also be needed to re-engage students with their learning. The aim is to provide the pupil with structure in their daily routine and to continue their educational development, ultimately helping them return to an educational setting.

Prospero will work with you closely to monitor the progression with each pupil by asking you to submit weekly reports.
