English Teacher – January 2026 Start

Location: Manchester

About the Role

As an English Teacher, you'll be responsible for delivering high-quality lessons in English Language and Literature to secondary school students. You'll join a supportive and dynamic English department and have the chance to make a real difference in students' educational journeys. Some of our schools have a high percentage of EAL (English as an Additional Language) students, so experience working with EAL students would be highly advantageous.

Key Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – ECTs (Early Career Teachers) are welcome to apply.
• Experience teaching English at secondary school level, with a proven track record of success.
• Excellent behaviour management skills to ensure a positive, productive classroom environment.
• Experience working with EAL students is highly desirable.
• Availability to start in January 2026, with flexibility for both long-term and permanent roles.
• DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for a new one.
• References covering the last 2 years of employment.
