Overview

English Teacher - SEN/SEMH Specialist School

Are you a qualified teacher, or do you have experience teaching/supporting young people with SEN/SEMH?

An Outstanding specialist school for pupils with SEN & SEMH needs are searching for an English Teacher to join them ASAP, or January at the latest.

Responsibilities

• Teach GCSE or Functional Skills equivalent to pupils in KS3 & KS4 with small class sizes of 6 max.
• Work with pupils who mostly have ASD; all students have ADHD or trauma/anxiety which can create challenging behaviour.
• Provide a quiet, calm and purposeful learning environment; deliver tailored, short, low-pressure lessons which pupils enjoy.
• Contribute to the therapeutic aspect, with weekly staff training on therapy practices.

• Strong leadership team and team of teachers who have transitioned from mainstream teaching.

Contract & Salary

• Full Time, Permanent Contract
• 28,000 - 55,277 per annum, dependent on your experience & qualifications
