Simply Education Ltd is recruiting an English Teacher for a new SEMH secondary school in Uttoxeter, due to open in April. The role involves delivering GCSE English and Functional Skills, with a focus on re-engagement and personal development within a supportive setting.

You will teach GCSE English and Functional Skills, adapting lessons to meet SEMH needs and support pupils’ wellbeing, while collaborating with SEND and pastoral teams to drive progress.

• Calm, consistent behaviour management

Simply Education is proud to be working in partnership with a new SEMH secondary school in Uttoxeter, opening in April, to recruit an English Teacher.

This role involves teaching GCSE English and Functional Skills English to pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, within a supportive and structured environment that focuses on re-engagement and personal development.

About the role

• Teaching English at GCSE and Functional Skills level


• Adapting lessons to meet a range of emotional and behavioural needs


• Building positive, consistent relationships with pupils


• Supporting both academic progress and emotional wellbeing


• Working closely with SEND and pastoral teams

What we're looking for
