Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging and comprehensive English lessons to students across various age groups and abilities.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and active learning.
- Develop and implement appropriate assessment methods to evaluate student attainment.
- Utilize a variety of instructional techniques and resources to meet the diverse needs of students.
- Collaborate with colleagues to create and enhance the English curriculum.
- Provide constructive feedback and guidance to students to support their academic and personal development.
- Communicate effectively with parents, guardians, and colleagues regarding student progress and any concerns.
- Participate in faculty meetings, professional development opportunities, and school-wide events as required.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor\'s degree in English, Education, or a related field (Master\'s degree preferred).
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent certification (Must be exact equivalent)
- Previous experience teaching English at GCSE level (experience at KS5/A Level is desirable).
- Deep knowledge of the English curriculum, including literature, language, and writing skills.
- Strong understanding of effective teaching strategies and assessment methods.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to inspire and motivate students to achieve their full potential.
- Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development.
