Job Title: English Teacher (KS3 / KS4)

Area: West Drayton, Hillingdon

Start Date: September 2025

Contract Type: Full-time, Long-term (Temp to Perm)

Salary: £170 - £260 per day (depending on experience)

Working hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 4:00pm

Interview: Video interview ASAP for the first stage

Brief description: Teach English to KS3/KS4 students in a specialist alternative provision setting.

Must have full UK License & Transport, as will be expected to travel to students' houses for outreach lessons.

About the school

A specialist alternative provision supporting students aged 11-16 with SEMH needs and those unable to access mainstream education. Small class sizes and strong pastoral focus.

About the role

Deliver the English curriculum to students with varied academic levels. Plan engaging, inclusive lessons. Work collaboratively with support staff and the wider school team.

Requirements

The ideal candidate would have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS or QTLS)
  • Experience teaching English at secondary level
  • SEN or SEMH teaching experience (desirable)
  • Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
  • A patient, nurturing and adaptable approach
