Job Title: SEN English Class Teacher (KS3/KS4)
Area: West London (Harrow)
Start Date: ASAP (Urgent)
Contract Type: Temporary cover until July 2026 (potential to extend)
Salary: 130 - 250 per day (dependent on qualifications & experience)
Working hours: 8:30am - 4:30pm, 2 days per week (Monday & Thursday)

About the school

A specialist pupil referral unit providing tailored education for children aged 5-16 who cannot attend mainstream schools. The centre offers a nurturing environment, small class sizes, and strong inclusion support.

About the role

You will teach English to KS3/4 students with SEN/SEMH needs, ensuring lessons are accessible, engaging, and supportive of individual learning plans. Collaboration with colleagues and a focus on reintegration into mainstream education are key aspects of the role.

We're looking for a dedicated candidate to:
  • Plan and deliver high-quality English lessons for KS3/4 SEN students
  • Support pupils with diverse learning and behavioural needs
  • Work closely with staff to promote inclusion and positive outcomes
  • Maintain safeguarding and welfare standards at all times
Requirements - The ideal candidate would have:
  • QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)
  • Minimum 2 years' experience teaching KS3/4 SEN or SEMH students
  • Valid Enhanced DBS (Child & Adult Workforce) registered on the Update Service
  • 2 recent professional references (ideally from an education setting)
