English Teacher - South Cheshire Area - January to Easter - Fixed-Term Contract

Are you a dedicated and enthusiastic English Teacher looking to make a difference in a high-performing Secondary School based in the South Cheshire area?

Academics are recruiting an inspirational English Teacher to join a thriving Secondary School in the South Cheshire area. This is a long-term role teaching English at Key Stages 3 and Key Stages 4 with a January 2026 start through to Easter 2026. For the right candidate, there is a potential to extend the contract to summer.

The role details: You’ll be teaching English across KS3 and KS4 delivering engaging lessons that both challenge and support students learning, evidenced by exam outcomes. You’ll be responsible for monitoring strong academic progression amongst the students. You’ll join a collaborative English department where you’ll be expected to contribute meaningfully.

Responsibilities
  • Teach English across KS3 and KS4 with engaging lessons that challenge and support students.

  • Collaborate within a supportive English department and contribute meaningfully to team objectives.
Requirements / Qualifications
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a specialism in English Language & Literature.
  • Previous experience teaching English at KS3, KS4, and ideally KS5.
  • A teacher who is passionate about their subject and committed to pupil progress.
  • Confidence in the classroom with strong behaviour management skills.
  • Enthusiasm, curiosity, and high standards in teaching.
