Job summary

Field Gate School, part of Five Rivers Child Care, is expanding its teaching team in Doncaster. We seek an experienced English Teacher to support children and young people aged 6–18 within a trauma-informed framework, delivering learning through a flexible model both in class and in the community.

The role offers varied, rewarding work within a dedicated team that values stability, empathy, and student involvement in learning.

Qualifications

• Strong written and IT skills are essential for clear communication with colleagues and families.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with children, colleagues, and external agencies.
• Genuine passion for working within specialist or trauma-informed education is required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver learning through a flexible teaching model tailored to each student.
• Use bespoke therapeutic and educational frameworks to support pupils aged 6–18.
• Teach in classroom or community settings to support children who cannot attend regular school.
• Contribute to a supportive, trauma-informed school culture.

About The Role

Field Gate School is growing, and we are excited to be expanding our teaching team in Doncaster. We are looking for an experienced English Teacher who is passionate about supporting children and young people aged 6–18.

You will be joining a dedicated and experienced team within a school culture where children are respected, listened to, and actively involved in their learning journey. Our young people deserve stability, empathy, and educators who believe in them.

As a Teacher with Five Rivers Child Care, each day will be varied, rewarding, and meaningful. You will deliver learning through a flexible teaching model, using bespoke therapeutic and educational frameworks tailored to each individual student. Lessons may take place in the classroom or within the community to support children unable to attend regular school settings.

Requirements

• NQTS or QTS registration
• Minimum 2 years’ teaching experience (preferred)
• Valid UK driving licence (for community-based teaching)
• Right to Work in the UK
• Strong written and IT skills
• Ability to communicate effectively with children, colleagues, and external agencies
• A genuine passion for working within specialist or trauma-informed education
