Overview

English Teacher - QTS, SEMH & ASC School, Basingstoke — KS3/KS4. ASAP start. This is a full-time contract with potential temp to perm opportunity.

Academics are recruiting on behalf of a secondary provision in Basingstoke which provides education for pupils aged 10-16 years with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) and Autism (ASC).

Responsibilities

• Deliver an exciting and engaging English curriculum that develops learners’ English knowledge and skills.
• Tailor lessons to meet individual learning needs and abilities.
• Engage with young people and build positive relationships to support their learning and wellbeing.
• Collaborate with a dedicated staff team to maintain a supportive learning environment.

Qualifications

• Fully qualified English Teacher with QTS.
• Emotionally intelligent, empathetic, highly motivated and capable of inspiring students.
• Experience in SEN/SEMH settings is desirable, but not essential; the ability to engage learners and differentiate is key.
