Are you an enthusiastic, dedicated English Teacher looking to make a real impact in a thriving Stoke-on-Trent secondary school?

Academics is recruiting an inspirational English Teacher to join a successful and forward-thinking department on a 12-month maternity cover, starting January 2026. For the right candidate, an earlier start can be arranged.

The Role

• Teach English across KS3 and KS4
• Deliver engaging, challenging and well-structured lessons
• Inspire students and support strong progress and exam outcomes
• Maintain high expectations for behaviour, effort and achievement
• Plan and assess in line with school and department policies

What We're Looking For

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) with an English specialism
• Strong subject knowledge and a genuine passion for English Language and Literature
