Job summary

TeacherActive is recruiting an enthusiastic English Teacher for Wirral secondary schools. The role is long-term with the potential to secure a permanent position for the right candidate.

You will teach KS3 and KS4, delivering engaging lessons and maintaining high standards of behaviour to help students achieve their best. Suitable candidates will hold QTS with English and have strong knowledge of the English curriculum.

Responsibilities

We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic English Teacher on a long-term basis, with the opportunity to secure a permanent position for the right English Teacher. The successful English Teacher will teach Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students, delivering engaging and creative English lessons, following the school's schemes of learning, and inspiring students to develop a passion for English while maintaining excellent classroom behaviour and high academic standards.

The successful English Teacher will have:

• QTS with an English specialism (ECTs are welcome to apply)
• Experience teaching English up to Key Stage 4 / KS4
• Strong knowledge of the English curriculum
• Excellent classroom management skills
• The ability to inspire, engage and motivate learners
• A positive, enthusiastic and proactive approach to teaching
