An educational institution in Oxford is seeking an enthusiastic GCSE English teacher for a part-time role. You will be responsible for teaching learners studying GCSE English Language and contributing to curriculum development. Previous teaching experience is a plus, but not mandatory, as training will be provided. Activate Learning are looking for an enthusiastic GCSE English teacher to join our team at Oxford College. You will teach learners studying GCSE English Language. This is a permanent, part-time position working 22.2 hours per week (0.60 FTE).
There is potential for this role to be a development opportunity for a newly qualified teacher or English graduate looking to get into teaching. You may also contribute to the development of the curriculum and resources for GCSE Language, Literature and A Level English, participate in departmental meetings, parent evenings, school events, and support extracurricular activities related to the subject area.
We are looking for people who can act as role models for our students and ensure they leave with professional qualifications and the attributes to progress in the world of work. A genuine interest in working with and developing young people is required.
Previous teaching experience in the FE sector is an advantage but not required. If you have the qualifications or experience to teach on our courses and can demonstrate the attributes to be an inspirational teacher, Activate Learning will provide necessary training, development and support to equip you to teach in the FE sector.
