Position: English and Phonics teacher

Location: Cambian Northampton school- Northampton, Northamptonshire

Hours: Full time, Term time

Salary Details: Up to £42,000 per annum DOE

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced English and Phonics teacher to deliver lessons to students with diverse needs, including those with SEND. In this role, you will have the opportunity to teach and support students who are unable to attend mainstream schooling, helping them engage with Maths Studies through tailored and accessible lessons.

Cambian Northampton School is a small independent specialist provision that provides quality and personalised education for young people ranging from ages 11 to 16 with on‑going social, emotional and mental health difficulties (SEMH). The school offers a nurturing and caring environment which allows all our young people to thrive and achieve their full potential.

A successful candidate should have:
  • Suitable education qualifications such as QTS, a teaching degree or degree and PGCE.
  • Successful experience of implementing positive behaviour support strategies.
  • Knowledge of inclusive education that challenges students to reach meaningful outcomes for increased independence.
  • Knowledge of current curriculum developments.
  • Knowledge of child and adults safeguarding procedures.
  • Understanding of the principles of good curriculum provision.
