Overview

English Teacher - SEN School (Medway) | January 2026 Start | Part-Time (2 Days/Week)

We are currently recruiting on behalf of a specialist SEN school in Medway for a qualified English teacher to join their dedicated team from January 2026. This is a part-time role (2 days per week), ideal for a passionate educator with experience supporting students with special educational needs, particularly those with autism.

Responsibilities
  • Planning and delivering engaging English lessons to KS3 and KS4 students.
  • Teaching and assessing GCSE English Language.
  • Independently planning lessons using a medium-term plan.
  • Marking and tracking student progress in line with school expectations.
Candidate Requirements
  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Has experience teaching students with SEN, especially autism.
  • Is confident planning lessons independently.
  • Has a strong understanding of the KS3 and KS4 English curriculum, including GCSE assessment.
  • Is committed, organised, and able to build positive relationships with students and staff.
