English Teacher – Full-time, long-term temporary role from January 2026

This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate English Teacher to join a school where pupils are supported to achieve their best through a well-structured and ambitious curriculum. Duties as English Teacher:
  • Plan and deliver engaging English lessons across KS3 and KS4
  • Assess, track, and report on pupil progress in line with school policies
  • Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment
  • Contribute to curriculum development and departmental planning
  • Participate in school events, meetings, and CPD opportunities
  • Uphold safeguarding responsibilities and promote pupil wellbeing
  • Holds QTS and has experience teaching English at secondary level
  • Demonstrates strong subject knowledge and effective classroom management
  • Is committed to raising achievement and supporting all learners
  • Works well as part of a team and contributes to whole-school initiatives
  • Has excellent communication and organisational skills as an English Teacher
