We are seeking a dedicated EnglishTeacher to join a vibrant secondary school in Surrey for the 1 year Maternity Cover. This role is ideal for an enthusiastic educator who is passionate about delivering high-quality Englishlessons to students. This is a temporary role to support the school with the end of their Maternity cover 2 days a week (Tuesday and Thursday).

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging English lessons in line with the curriculum.
  • Foster a positive learning environment that encourages student participation and promotes respect for all cultures and beliefs.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback and support to ensure academic development.
  • Collaborate with other teaching staff to integrate cross-curricular themes and to enhance student learning experiences.
  • Participate in school meetings and events, and contribute to the school community.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience teaching English in a secondary school environment.
  • Strong understanding of the current curriculum and teaching methods.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to engage and inspire students of diverse backgrounds and abilities.
