English Teacher - Hillingdon (January 2026 Start)

A large secondary school based in the Hillingdon area is seeking a passionate and dedicated English Teacher to join their team from January 2026 on a long‑term contract, with potential to continue until at least July 2026.

This is a full‑time position. Working hours are 8:30am – 3:30pm. The role offers a competitive salary in line with Outer London MPS/UPS and on‑site parking is available.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver engaging and inspiring English lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, fostering students' understanding and appreciation of literature and language.
  • Encourage students to think critically, write creatively, and communicate effectively through a varied and challenging curriculum.
  • Support the development of key literacy skills and help students build confidence in their written and spoken English.
  • Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment where all students are encouraged to achieve their full potential.
  • Contribute to a collaborative and dynamic English department, sharing best practice and supporting whole‑school literacy initiatives.
