English Teacher (Maternity Cover) Location: Bromley, Kent Contract: Maternity Cover (Starting January 2026) Salary: MPS / UPS - £120 to £240 per day (dependent on experience and qualifications)

The Role

As an English Teacher, you will:

  • Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to pupils with SEND or SEMH needs.
  • Teach across KS3 and KS4, ensuring pupils receive high‑quality, personalised learning experiences.
  • Adapt and develop lesson plans to meet individual learning profiles.
  • Use both classroom and outdoor learning spaces to enhance engagement.
  • Work closely with support staff, families, and colleagues to maintain a nurturing and consistent educational environment.
  • Contribute to a culture of high expectations and positive relationships.

Specialisms in Art or Maths are also welcomed due to cross‑curricular opportunities.

Candidate Requirements
  • Qualified Teachers (QTS) or Unqualified Teachers with relevant school‑based experience.
  • Experienced in working with learners with SEND or SEMH needs.
  • Confident in delivering or supporting KS3/KS4 English curriculum content.
  • Creative, adaptable, and committed to inclusive, child‑centred teaching.
  • Able to build positive and supportive relationships with young people.
  • Able to commute to Canterbury or nearby areas.
