Compensation: £28,903 - £38,110 / year

Description

Fixed-term, part-time contract.

To contribute to the Department’s aim to provide high quality learning and assist in the development, organisation and delivery of the curriculum area of the Department.

Key Responsibilities
  • To deliver GCSE English and Functional Skills to 16-18 learners and adults (daytime and/ or evening)
  • To produce sequencing documents, lesson and assessment plans, learning materials and any other related activities that impact on the effectiveness of learning
  • To help co-ordinate and maintain records of formative and summative assessments of students’ learning carried out by the course team
  • To communicate assessment and timetable arrangements to the course team and students
  • To work pro-actively to forward the success and vision of the department
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
  • Level 4 qualification in English or other related qualification
  • A teaching qualification (or a willingness to work towards)
  • Demonstrate knowledge of the GCSE English syllabus 2.0
  • Demonstrate knowledge of the Functional Skills English syllabus
  • Demonstrate an understanding of diverse strategies for the teaching, learning and assessment of English skills
