A higher education institution in Newport is seeking two English GCSE Oracy Assessors to prepare, record, and assess oracy in GCSE English Language. Candidates should hold an A Level in English Language and a good degree in a related subject. The role includes support for the English Team and a commitment to safeguarding. This is a fixed term role until June 2026 with a pay range of £20.00 - £22.22 per hour.

As an Oracy Assessor, you will be responsible for the preparation, recording, assessing and monitoring of Unit 1 Oracy GCSE English Language. You will support and join the cross-college English Team who are responsible for the planning and delivery of GCSE English to learners on full time vocational and academic programmes of study.
You will hold an A Level in English Language at grade C or above. A good honours degree in English Language or within an English Language related subject and a PGCE/ Cert. Ed. or other relevant teaching qualification is desirable.
