Hours: Full-Time, Permanent, 37.5 hrs per week, Mon-Fri

Location: Colchester

Salary: £22,500 - £30,000 per annum (depending on experience & qualifications)

Are you a Functional Skills Tutor looking for a new role?

We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Functional Skills Tutor. As a Functional Skills Tutor you will support students to achieve their qualifications in Maths, English and ICT up to Level 2. We are looking for someone who can motivate, engage and inspire learners to reach their full potential while on our programme.

Key Responsibilities

• Delivery of Functional Skills English up to Level 2.
• Plan individual learning to meet learner needs and prepare lesson plans.
• Achieve company KPIs and Individual Performance Plan targets.
• Plan embedded learning for groups and individuals.
• Develop delivery to maximise progression opportunities for learners.
• Create conditions in the training centre(s) that develop learners’ abilities, skills and confidence.
• Regularly assess learners’ work.

Requirements

• Experience delivering Functional Skills English to Level 2.
• Minimum of 2 years teaching experience in 14‑19 provision.
• Full teaching qualifications (e.g., Cert Ed, C&G 7407, CTTLS, DTLLS).
• Passion and desire to teach.
• Willingness to undertake any relevant teaching qualifications necessary.
