School of Coding in the UK seeks an Academic English & Study Skills Tutor to support international adult learners across partner degree programmes in Computing and IT, Business Management, and Health and Social Care.
You will deliver structured academic English and study-skills support, run workshops on writing, reading, paraphrasing and referencing, and work with teaching teams to raise progression and outcomes.
School of Coding & AI is one of the UK's fastest growing education providers, delivering high quality, career focused programmes across Coding, AI, STEM, Health and Social Care, Business and related areas.
Established in 2017, we work with schools, colleges, universities and employers to provide education that leads to real outcomes. Our focus is simple, student first, always.
We deliver Higher Education programmes in partnership with the University of Wolverhampton, Harper Adams University and the University of Brighton. As we expand our provision across the UK and internationally, we are strengthening our academic teams to deliver high-quality teaching, support excellent student outcomes and help shape the future of technology-focused education.
This is not a standalone English teaching post. We deliver partner university degree programmes in Business Management, Health and Social Care, and Computing and IT. Many of our learners are international adults, while they are capable, some need additional support with academic English, study skills, and confidence in communication to reach the standard required to pass assessments and graduate.
You will provide structured academic English and study skills support across programmes, with a strong focus on improving written work, comprehension of learning materials, and spoken communication in tutorials and presentations. You will work closely with teaching teams to target support where it has the biggest impact on progression and outcomes.
You are confident in supporting international adult learners, and you know how to raise academic standards without patronising students or doing the work for them. You can be direct and supportive at the same time, and you understand what "good" looks like in a UK education setting.
Join us for a role where you can see the direct impact of your support on student outcomes and graduation rates. You will be part of a growing environment where you can build structure, resources and support models, rather than inheriting a rigid system. You will also have the opportunity to work across multiple subject areas and help develop an academic support function that can scale as we grow.
