Job summary

A reputable engineering company in Medway Towns is looking for a Workshop Operative to assist in daily production tasks and maintain a safe and organised environment. Ideal candidates have some experience in a metal workshop, but training will be provided. This is a temporary position with potential for permanent employment. Hours of work are Monday to Thursday, 08:00 to 16:30 and Friday 08:00 to 15:30.

Qualifications

  • Ideally you will have some experience of working in a metal workshop environment.
  • Experience of operating machine tools such as Press Brake, Guillotine, Rollers etc. would be advantageous.
  • You should be a team player, proactive and well organised.

Responsibilities

Overview

We are recruiting on behalf of one of our long established clients for a Workshop Operative to work in the Fabrication department of an engineering company based in Medway Towns.

Responsibilities
  • Assist the workshop section leader in all aspects of carrying out daily production tasks in a timely and efficient way, ensuring that client needs and expectations are met.
  • Support the completion of daily production tasks in the fabrication department while maintaining quality and safety standards.
  • Collaborate with the team to maintain an organised and productive workshop environment.
Qualifications
  • Ideally you will have some experience of working in a metal workshop environment.
  • Experience of operating machine tools such as Press Brake, Guillotine, Rollers etc. would be advantageous however not essential as training will be provided.
  • In addition, you will be a team player, proactive and well organised.
Hours and Employment Details

Hours of work are Monday to Thursday, 08.00 to 16.30 and Friday 08.00 to 15.30.

The position is at first on a temporary basis with an opportunity for permanent employment after a qualifying period, for the right candidate.
