Job summary

ECADIN is seeking an Engineering Technologist to analyse, assess, adapt and apply engineering technologies in the design, implementation, testing and optimisation of Solar PV and BESS projects.

You will conduct site assessments, evaluate configurations and collaborate with engineers, DNSPs and installers to deliver technically feasible solutions for efficient energy generation and storage.

Qualifications

• Experience with Australian Standards, Solar PV and BESS technologies, AutoCAD, Pylon and OpenSolar is highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Research, evaluate and recommend Solar PV, battery storage, inverter and energy-management technologies to support engineering project requirements.
• Analyse and modify existing Solar PV and BESS configurations to improve system efficiency, reliability, performance and operational effectiveness.
• Collaborate with engineers, manufacturers, installers and DNSPs to develop and implement technically feasible engineering solutions.
• Applying engineering technologies in system assessments, technical designs, single-line diagrams, grid integration and implementation of Solar PV and BESS projects.
• Conduct technical testing, commissioning assessments, fault investigations and performance evaluations to verify system functionality and identify improvements.
• Inspect Solar PV and BESS designs and installations to ensure compliance with applicable Australian Standards, electrical safety regulations and DNSP requirements.
• Conduct site assessments, feasibility studies and technical calculations to determine suitable system configurations, equipment selection and integration requirements.
• Analyse operational data and evaluating system performance to recommend technical modifications and optimise energy generation, storage and utilisation.

We are seeking an Engineering Technologist to analyse, assess, adapt and apply engineering technologies in the design, implementation, testing and optimisation of Solar Photovoltaic (PV) and Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects.

Duties Include

• Researching, evaluating and recommending Solar PV, battery storage, inverter and energy-management technologies to support engineering project requirements.
• Analysing and modifying existing Solar PV and BESS configurations to improve system efficiency, reliability, performance and operational effectiveness.
• Collaborating with engineers, manufacturers, installers and Distribution Network Service Providers (DNSPs) to develop and implement technically feasible engineering solutions.
• Applying engineering technologies in system assessments, technical designs, single-line diagrams, grid integration and implementation of Solar PV and BESS projects.
• Conducting technical testing, commissioning assessments, fault investigations and performance evaluations to verify system functionality and identify improvements.

Experience

Experience with relevant Australian Standards, Solar PV and BESS technologies, AutoCAD, Pylon and/or OpenSolar is highly regarded.

Expected Salary: $80,000 AUD per year +superannuation
