Maintenance Engineer - Electrical Bias | Rugby | 4 on 4 off - Days & Nights | £48,700 per annum | FMCG / Food Manufacturing

Are you a multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer with an electrical bias looking to join a fast-paced and dynamic environment? We are working with a leading FMCG food manufacturer in Rugby who are looking to expand their engineering team with a skilled and motivated individual.

Role Overview

As a Maintenance Engineer, you'll be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of high-speed production lines, with a focus on preventative maintenance (PPM) and swift resolution of breakdowns to minimise downtime. You\'ll work closely with production and engineering teams to maintain and improve equipment efficiency.

Shift Pattern

4 on 4 off rotation
Days & Nights (12-hour shifts)

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform PPM tasks in line with schedules to minimise breakdowns
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical faults across production equipment
  • Work proactively to identify improvements and support continuous improvement projects
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and support audits and compliance
  • Support installations, upgrades, and commissioning of new machinery
About You
  • Apprenticeship trained with NVQ Level 3 in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
  • Strong electrical bias with proven multi-skilled capabilities
  • Experience within a food manufacturing or FMCG environment is essential
  • Comfortable working with PLCs, motors, conveyors, sensors, and packaging machinery
  • A proactive team player with strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
