A leading food manufacturing company in York is seeking an Engineering Technician to manage asset maintenance. You will be responsible for reducing production losses, assisting with technical training, and participating in breakdown analysis. Candidates should possess NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Engineering and dual training in mechanical and electrical systems. This is a full time Permanent Opportunity
Reporting to the Maintenance Manager you will be responsible for the implementation and execution of the factory asset maintenance programme aimed to eliminate unplanned stops and optimise maintenance cost and as a result increase asset intensity. This includes the repairing, reporting and analysis of unplanned technical failures, and the execution of planned and scheduled maintenance in order to prevent unplanned technical failures. Provide technical expertise to reduce both technical and production losses, including coaching and/or participating in problem solving, implementing solutions, sharing knowledge, building competence.
As an Engineering Technician, you will participate in the implementation and execution of the factory asset maintenance programme, aimed to eliminate unplanned stops and optimise maintenance cost and as a result increase asset intensity.
